MAXX SCHOLZ

Looking to Give Your Golf Game a Tune-Up?

Whether you’re new to golf or have been playing for years, there’s always room to improve. Sometimes a few small adjustments can make a huge difference to your confidence, consistency, and score.

I’ve been playing golf for over 35 years and currently play to a 4 handicap. Throughout my golfing journey, I’ve:

  • Won numerous scramble tournaments
  • Finished 8th in Canada with my team at the RBC Scramble National Finals
  • Been a member of New Liskeard Golf Course
  • Been a member of North Bay Golf & Country Club
  • Been a member of North Halton Golf & Country Club for over 15 years
  • Recorded a Hole-in-One on the 17th hole at North Halton

While I’m not a PGA or certified golf professional, I bring decades of competitive experience and have been helping golfers improve their games for over five years. My coaching is practical, easy to understand, and tailored to your individual swing and goals.

What We’ll Work On

Every lesson is customized, but some of the areas we can cover include:

  • Club selection and equipment evaluation
  • Club fitting recommendations
  • Grip, setup, posture, and stance
  • Full swing fundamentals
  • Driver consistency and distance
  • Iron play and shot shaping (draws and fades)
  • Alignment and aiming to your target
  • Ball position and swing path
  • Chipping, pitching, and putting fundamentals
  • Course management and smarter decision-making
  • Pre-shot routine and mental approach
  • Practice routines using TrackMan, golf simulators, and the driving range
  • Golf-specific fitness, stretching, and exercises you can do away from the course

My Goals

My goal isn’t to rebuild your golf swing—it’s to help you understand it.

We’ll identify what’s costing you strokes, simplify your swing, and give you drills and routines you can continue using long after our lesson.

For many golfers, a focused 1–2 hour session can lead to measurable improvements. While every player progresses at a different pace, I’m confident I can help most golfers put themselves in a position to save 3–5 strokes through better fundamentals, smarter course management, and improved consistency.

If you’re ready to play with more confidence and enjoy the game even more, I’d love the opportunity to work with you.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you take your game to the next level.
